Our Story

Prime Flowers was founded in 1995 by Geoff Bottomley, growing on the rich volcanic soils of the Alstonville plateau in the NSW Northern Rivers. In December 2019 — just months before COVID reached Australia — Jon and Anna Fyfe and their three girls took over the farm, and carried on doing what Geoff started: growing exceptional lilies and foliage, one season at a time.

Alstonville gives us a head start few growing regions can match: high rainfall, rich soil, and a temperate winter climate that let us grow flowers to a standard that’s hard to beat.

Lilies are our specialty. We grow LxA Hybrids, OT Hybrids, Orientals, Double Orientals and Rose Lilies year-round, trialling more than 30 new varieties every year in search of the next standout blooms.

Beyond lilies, our paddocks are full of seasonal colour — Sunflowers, Alstroemeria, Lisianthus, Statice and Dahlias — plus foliage lines including Viburnum, Magnolia, Gardenia, Eucalyptus and Mock Orange. We also grow seeds and potted plants across all our foliage lines, and sell bulbs, tubers and farm flowers direct from the farm.

We supply wholesalers and florists with lily and foliage along Australia’s Eastern Seaboard.
